Abstract

1511251 Double buckles for slings FISONS Ltd 12 June 1975 [14 June 1974] 26388/74 Addition to 1409243 Heading E2A [Also in Division B8] A self-locking buckle assembly comprising two rectangular rings 5, 6 having sliding crossbars 8 and joined by a pivot e.g. a tube 7, enjoins a sling for lifting loads, the sling comprising a lifting loop 4 fixedly attached to a central portion of a web 1, which is looped over the pivot. The web has free ends 2, 3 threaded as shown whereby the size of each loop of the web is adjustable to accommodate varying loads. The web 1 may be threaded through and around a pallet having a central aperture and load bearing portions D, E. Alternatively the lower portion of each loop may be expanded to form a cradle, Fig. 3 (not shown). A pair of buckle/sling combinations may be arranged in a cruciform manner to lift suitable loads.
