Abstract

Tension and supporting arrangements.-In belt gearing, a bracket 2 supports a line driving-shaft 1 adjustable for alinement, and a driven shaft 13 adjustable to tension the belt 12. Bolts 4 for securing the bracket 2 to a post &c. W pass through vertical slots 3a so that the bracket may be adjusted vertically. The shaft 1 turns in a bearing sleeve 1<a> which has a spherical portion 1<b> seated between a block 5 and cap 6. Bolts 9 passing through a slot 8 in the bracket provide for horizontal adjustment of the shaft 1. The shaft 13, which is axially movable with fast and loose pulleys 14, 15 as described in Specification 14871/19 is supported in a slide 21 movable towards and from the shaft 1. A rib 25 projects from the slide 21 into a slot 24 in the bracket, and bolts 22 are provided for clamping. The slide 21 is moved by a screw 26.
