Abstract

1505560 Valves KOLNER METALLGIESSEREI UND ARMATURENFABRIK THELEN & RODENKIRCHEN 7 May 1975 [6 Feb 1975] 19123/75 Heading F2V A rotary cylindrical cock for a beer draw-off tap has a sealing member 7 mounted in a stepped recess 19 of the cylindrical plug 5 and formed by an O-ring 9 mounted in an annular groove in a T-shaped head 8, and a coil spring (15) releasably attached to the head by a screw (17) and an abutment plate (16). In closed position the 0-ring 9 is biased by the spring against the surface of the housing around the inlet 1. In a modification, Fig. 6 (not shown), a sealing member 7(a), 7(b) is mounted in each of two recessat the ends of two inlets, the screws (17(b)), and the heads being hollow to allow flow therethrough. The bores of the heads are of different diameter and are selectively communicable with the outlet to permit foaming of the last part of the beer when drawn through the smaller diameter bore.
