Abstract

1502147 Jugs &c YUGEN KAISHA MITSUMURA 23 May 1975 [29 June 1974] 22815/75 Heading A4A An apparatus for heating or cooling drinks comprises an outer container 1, preferably of spherical shape, for containing the drink and formed with a pouring mouth 3 and an opening 2, and an inner container 6 for ice-cubes or hot material able to be removably located in the opening 2 so that it extends into the outer container 1 leaving a space between the containers which communicates with the pouring mouth, the opening of the inner container and the pouring mouth being inclined relative to the horizontal in opposed directions. As shown, the containers are of transparent heat-resistant glass and the inner container 6 is supported by its projecting lip 7 on the outwardly protruding rim of the opening 2. A lid 9 has a vent slot 8 and the handle 5 is formed integrally with a support 4 and an annular member 10 which fits around the opening 2.
