Abstract

1502123 Grooving tubes ELMEPLA SpA 8 Oct 1975 [8 Oct 1974] 41214/75 Heading B5A A plastics tube 1 is provided with an enlarged diameter and internally grooved socket by means of a flange 8, female die 9 and internal shaping ring 6 that is moved into contact with the tube by an eccentric 3 integral with a hollow, rotating shaft 4. The shaft is rotated by a motor 5, and is slid along a supporting stem 10 to move the ring 6 from a position coaxial with the tube 1, to an eccentric moulding position (as shown), by means of an hydraulic or pneumatic ram 7 and pivoted link.
