1433615 Producing enlargements of pipe ends CAV Ltd 15 July 1974 [20 July 1973] 34691/73 Heading B3Q A nipple is formed at the end of a pipe 14 by a die 20 operated by a ram 19 after the ram has first been used to position the pipe in a collet 13 and clamp the collet. An hydraulic cylinder 15 for the ram is connected by rods 17 to a flange 18 on the collet-housing 10. Valves 22 are in an air line to an hydraulic intensifier.
