Abstract

1502113 Respirator valves KOMBINAT MEDIZIN - UND LABORTECHNIK LEIPZIG VEB 26 March 1975 [4 April 1974] 12691/75 Addition to 1481246 Heading A5T A respirator valve, which includes a trigger connection 15 from the patients air space which may be connected directly to a respirator or via the respirator breathing tube, comprises a housing 1, an inlet 2 for compressed gas, an outlet 3 for exhaled air, and an inlet-outlet for connection to the patient 9, in which the inlet for compressed gas and the outlet for exhaled air comprise stub pipes with openings 5, 4 in their side walls within the housing which are closable by an elastic diaphragm 6 on their outside and inside respectively and in which the inlet-outlet for connection to the patient can communicate with the interiors of the stub pipes via said openings. As described, the diaphragm has the shape of a finger stall, and there may be provided an extra valve 7 in the outlet to provide a double non-return function. To facilitate connection of the trigger via the respirator breathing tube a connection piece (18, Fig. 2 not shown) may be provided between the breathing tube (19) and the inlet for compressed gas 2 with a branch for connecting a narrow line (17) to the trigger connection 15.
