1502102 Hot water boilers BURCO DEAN Ltd 4 Nov 1975 [14 Aug 1974] 35684/74 Heading F4A In a hot water boiler a casing 1 contains a heat exchanger 9, 10 having an annular water path W surrounding a central combustion chamber 6, the heat exchanger being attached to a plate 8 which deflects the combustion products from the chamber 6 to follow the path indicated by the arrows CP. The water path W may be defined by a series of angularly spaced finned tubes 9 interconnected by U-shaped tube connectors 10. Alternatively, the water path W may be defined by an annular tube (Figs. 3 and 4, not shown). Baffles 14 may be provided between the tubes to concentrate the flow of combustion products around the tubes. A deflector 7 is provided in the combustion chamber 6.
