Abstract

The strain relief device consists, for example, of two elongated parts (44, 44') which can be installed in the connector (10). Each part (44, 44') has webs (52) which press against the conductors which are connected to the contact connecting parts of the connector, a conductor clamping device (74) in which the outgoing sections (124, 126) of the conductors are firmly clamped, and deflection guides (66) which hold the conductors in order to prevent displacement of the sections (120, 122) of the conductor which are connected to the contact connecting parts. These parts (44, 44') relieve the tension, which is caused by strain on the incoming and outgoing conductors (116, 118; 124, 126), on the sections of the conductors which are connected to the contact connecting parts. <IMAGE>
