Abstract

The plug-in connector consists of a rectangular housing (1) which has a slot (7A) in its base into which fits an assembly (12) of contact blades (14). Moulded lugs (11) located adjacent to each blade help to block the blade assembly formly in position. A concave round recess (5) in the front wall of the housing mates with a similar recess (23) in the lid (21) which is slid on along guiding ridges. The end of the lid has a hook section (25) which clips behind a shoulder in the lower moulding of the housing. The contact blade assembly has a projection (20) of rectangular shape which carries two rectangular lugs (19). The cable (18) entering through the round opening formed in the front wall, is constrained to curve around the lugs in such a way to prevent its being pulled out. The individual wires (17) of the cable are connected to sleeves on each contact blade.
