Abstract

The connector has a female part formed by two plastics members, one in the form of a box having an opening in one side to receive the male part, and the other in the form of a cover. The cover is pivotable on the box to engage a number of teeth in respective openings in the adjacent box surface, and deform and clamp bared cable wires in the openings. The male part is similarly formed with its cover pivotable in an open topped box (14) to clamp bared cable wires across cooperating openings in the box base wall. When the male part is inserted in the female part with the openings in opposition the bared wires contact one another, contact being assisted by springs in the female part.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de connexion électrique pour câbles.  The invention relates to an electrical connection device for cables.

Le dlspositlf de l'invention se compose d'un corps en matière isolante présentant â l'une de ses extrémités une zone de connexion pourvue d'au moins un- plot de contact électrique connecteur caractérisé en ce que le corps se compose de deux pièces en matière isolante pourvues de moyens d'assemblage complémentaires, ces deux pièces délimitant entre elles- en position assemblée, une zone de pinçage pour un cable électrique ces deux pieces présentant sur leur face de pinçage, lune une fenetre débouchant dans la zone de connexion, l'autre un bossage se logeant au travers de la fenetre pour le maintien au travers de cette fenêtre, de l'amie du cable constituant le plot de connexion électrique
Suivant une autre caractéristique de l'invention, les deux pièces sont montés pivotantes lune sur l'autre
Suivant une autre caractérlstique de l'invention, la zone de pinçage se prolonge ausdelà de l'axe d'articulation des deux pièces, une nervure parallèle a l'axe étant formée sur l'une des deux pièces et dépassant dans la zone de pinçage

Lors de l'emboltement du connecteur de la figure 3 a l'intérieur du connecteur de la figure 1 ces deux connecteurs coulissent l'un dans l'autre et les nervures 20 se logent dans des fentes 25 prévues à l'intérieur des nervures 14
Simultanément, les âmes 71 constituant les broches de connexion du connecteur femelle de la figure 1 viennent s'appliquer contre les broches de connexion constituées par les âmes 22 du connecteur mâle de la figure 3 afin de raccorder électriquement le câble 7 au câble 18
