Abstract

Electrical-connection box of the type made of moulded insulating plastic and comprising series of channels each intended to receive male or female electrical connection members, characterised in that it comprises a body 1 open at both its ends and divided internally into compartments 7, 8 and cases 15-15a each including a series of channels 16 intended to receive connection members 17, 29, 56, the said cases 15, 15a having dimensions such that they can be inserted into the compartments and means being provided for locking the said cases 15, 15a in the said compartments 7, 8.

Claims

1 - Electrical connection box of the type made of molded insulating plastic material and comprising series of channels intended to receive each of the male or female electrical connection members, characterized in that it comprises a body (1) open at its two ends and internally divided into compartments (7-8) and cases (15-15a) each comprising a series of channels (16) intended to receive connection members (17,29,56), said cases (15,15a) having dimensions such that they can be inserted into the compartments and means being provided for locking said cases (15, 15a) in said compartments (7-8).

2 - electrical connection box, according to claim 1, characterized in that the body (1) comprises, in each compartment (7-8, 37-38>, at least one housing (10,11,44,45), while each case (15,15a-50,50a) is provided with at least one lug (23-51) intended to be inserted in the corresponding housing.

30- Box of electrical connections, according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that each compartment (7,8-37,38) has a stop {25-40) intended to limit the engagement of the cases (15-50) , while the pins (23-51) affect the shape of ramps terminated by a steep (24-52), the distance separating the steep (24-52) from the ends of the cases (15-50) intended to cooperate with the stops corresponding (25-40) being substantially equal to the distance separating said stops from the edges of the openings (10,11,12,13,44,45) intended to cooperate with the steep (24-52).

40- Box of electrical connections, according to claim 1 and wherein the housing (85> is of the hermaphrodite type intended to cooperate with an identical housing (85a) turned upside down, said housing comprising a part (90) which constitutes the male part and a part (93) which constitutes the female part, characterized in that said housing is divided, by transverse bars (86 and 87), into compartments each intended to receive a case (105) provided with a series channels (107) each intended to receive a connection member (60.75) means (98.99) (118.119) being provided for locking the cases in the compartments.

5 - Box of electrical connections, according to claim 4, characterized in that each case (105) comprises a floor (110) and two side walls (111) a series of partitions (106) which define the channels (107), said partitions, at one end, ending in a bevel (113) with a stop (114) at the corresponding end of the floor (110), while at the other end, said partitions (106) have extensions (116) whose edge opposite to that turned on the side of the floor (110) is integral with a bottom (112) from which extends, between each part of adjacent partitions (106), an elastic tongue (120) whose face facing the floor is provided with a stud (121).

6 - Box of electrical connections, according to claims 4 and 5, characterized in that each compartment of the box has a stop (101) and each case (105) has a wall (117) connecting the free edge of the extensions (116) adjacent to the floor and intended to bear against the stop (101).

7 - Box of electrical connections, according to claims 4, 5 and 6, characterized in that the means for locking the cases (105) in the housing comprise lugs (118) in the form of ramps terminated by steep and intended for s '' insert into corresponding openings (98.99) of said housing, the distance separating the wall (117) connecting the free edge of the extensions to the steep (119) being equal to the distance separating the stop (101) from the edge of the openings (98 , 99) intended to cooperate with the abrupt (119).

8 - electrical connection box, according to claims 4 and 5, characterized in that the connection members (60.75) are hermaphrodite and of the type comprising a floor wall (66) provided with a hole (122) and of which one end has means (61,78) for connection to an electrical conductor, while the other end is extended by an elastic strip (67) having a section applied against said floor wall (66) and a second folded section hairpin (68), these sections being housed in a conduit delimited by side walls (70,71) and flaps (73, 72).
