Abstract
1501517 Dispensing nozzles ATLANTIC RICHFIELD CO 22 May 1975 [28 May 1974] 22370/75 Heading B8N A liquid dispensing nozzle, e.g. for petrol, has an anisotropic magnet 27 with a resilient material face seal at the end of a bellows assembly 22 surrounding the dispensing spout 12 to seal against the filling tube of a tank during dispensing. The bellows assembly serves as a vapour collector from which vapour is removed by a conduit 18. The magnet may be backed by a steel plate 44, Fig. 3, and have a sealing pad of resilient material such as cellular plastics. The exposed sealing face 49 may be coated in plastics or leather. The magnet is made of ceramic with magnetically aligned ferrite. The nozzle may be supported on the filling tube 42 by the magnetic attraction.
