Abstract

1402631 Dispensing liquids UNIVERSAL EQUIPMENT CO (LONDON) 19 Jan 1973 [26 Jan 1972] 3699/72 Heading F2G A tapping head 16 is sealingly engageable with a valve mechanism 3 in a container 1 containing both liquid and gas, e.g. beer and carbon dioxide, the seal being effective before a lever 23 is turned to open the valves. As shown, the tapping head 16 has a slidable inner sleeve 18 with a liquid dispensing nozzle 17 and an outer part 19 having a gas inlet connector 20. Lugs (17) (Fig. 1, not shown), on the outer part 19 engage behind lugs (34) on the valve assembly upon rotation of the head 16 and a seal 27 seals against the valve housing 13. The lever 23 is turned to the position shown, depressing the sleeve 18 to displace inner and outer valve bodies 9, 12.
