Abstract

The coupling device has a taping pipe inserted in a vessel containing liquid, partic. a beer barrel, together with a fixed sealing plate for the barrel outlet. A flexible sealing ring is mounted at the plate periphery, thrust by a spring-loaded plate against the outside of the pipe. Unions for liquid discharge and propellant gas are included, and a lever-operated hollow plunger acts against the ring to allow liquid to flow out of the barrel. The hollow plunger contains a valve shutting in the direction of the barrel, and which is thrust open when the plunger is actuated by the lever.
