Abstract

150,028. Blower, J. C. May 17, 1919. Fixing by detachable sockets. with lug and flange attachments. - A broom head is secured to its handle by means of a socket piece with flanges for securing to the head formed from a sheet metal blank C substantially of the form shown in Fig. 2, having three projections c which are finally bent to conform to the surface of the broom head. The usual hole in the head is dispensed with. The blank C is formed into a socket B and the projections c which are comparatively large in size are bent outwardly substantially at rightangles, to form the lugs b, Fig. 1, shaped to fit the head A and by which the device is screwed to the broom-head. The socket B is fixed to the handle by a screw &c. through the hole e.
