Abstract

1494351 Adjusting vehicle lamps LUCAS ELECTRICAL Ltd 18 April 1975 [18 May 1974] 22262/74 Heading F4R A vehicle headlamp which consists of a hollow body 10 comprising a reflector 11 and a lens 12 is supported on the vehicle body 14 by means of a peripheral flange 13 attached to a pair of axially adjustable ball studs 15 defining a horizontal pivotal axis. Adjustment of the body 10 about this axis is controlled by a manually operable lever 17 which is pivoted at 16 to a bracket 30 on the flange 13 and has at one end a cam 22 consisting of a plurality of recesses 23 disposed at different distances from the pivot 16 and adapted to be selectively engaged with a stud 21 fixed to the vehicle body. The cam is biased into engagement with the stud by springs 19 connected between the bracket 30 and the vehicle body.
