Abstract

1492604 Gas cleaning apparatus F CELORIO - MENDOZA 7 Nov 1974 [8 Nov 1973] 48223/74 Heading B1R An apparatus for cleaning polluted gas comprises a conduit 12 with gas inlet 10, steam inlet 14 with distribution pipes 16, 18, an elbow 20 to facilitate mixing of steam and the gas, an induction fan 30 to move the mixture through the conduit 12 towards clean gas outlet 34 and a condenser to condense out the steam and comprising successive steps of tubes 22, 22a, 22b and 22c through which cooling air is forced from ventilator 28. In operation, sufficient steam is added to saturate the polluted gas.
