1490578 Link hinges with catches H DROOFF [trading as PRAMETA PRAZISIONS METALL - UND KUNSTSTOFFERZEUG NISSE G BAUMANN & CO] 21 Nov 1974 [29 Nov 1973] 50590/74 Heading E2F A hinge of the type in which two mounting components 3, 5 are each pivoted to each end of two links 9, 10, at least one spring loaded catch (e.g. 15, 16) is mounted on one of the components to engage one of the links and restrain the hinge in one position. The catch(es) may be removable. Component 3 is an arm carrying a detachable end portion 3a to which the links are pivoted and component 5 has an inset housing provided with bores 26, 27 into which spring catches project. Each catch comprises a compression spring 22, 23 acting on a ball 18, 19 within a cage 20, 21 and link 10 is provided with cut-away portions 28, 29 which are engaged by the balls.
