Abstract

851,630. Hinges. SOIRON, F. F. VON, and SOIRON, G. F. VON, [trading as PRAMETA PRAZISIONSMETALL-U KUNSTSTOFFERZEUGNISSE G. BAUMAN & CO.]. Aug. 12, 1958 [Aug. 12, 1957; March 19, 1958], No. 25948/58. Class 65(2). The two parts 1, 2 of a hinge are each secured in position by a single stud or bolt 3, 5 and means are provided to prevent rotation of at least one of the parts about the stud or bolt. As shown in Fig. 1 the means comprises a screw 7 the head of which projects into a socket 8 on the part 1. The bolt 3 is threaded so that after partially screwing the part 1 into position it is then hammered home. The bolt 3 may be a right angled integral extension of the hinge pin 4 in which case the part 1 is moulded or cast about the pin. As shown in Fig. 10 a screw 21 is positioned so as to engage both the member 11 to which the hinge is secured and the stud 15. In a modification an eyebolt may engage over the hinge pin 4.
