Abstract

917,989. Hinges. KINGSLAND CO. (PLASTICS) Ltd. Dec. 1, 1961 [Feb. 16, 1961], No. 5806/61. Class 65 (2). A pillar member 3 for a closet pan seat hinge has an aperture 4 open at one end for receiving the hinge rod 2 and a communicating parallel slot 5 for a fixing bolt 13 the head 12 of which engages and supports the rod. The portion of the bolt immediately below the head is of square cross-section so that the bolt cannot rotate in the slot. A part of the aperture is in the form of a recess 11 which receives the hinge rod and has a semicircular, square or inverted V-shaped cross-section.
