Abstract

1530316 Panel assembly joint M BENAGLIA 20 Nov 1975 47722/75 Heading F2M A panel assembly joint comprises two multiarmed elements 1 and 2 and a screw or bolt 3. The arms of the element 2 engage in grooves 9 in the panels 8 to be assembled and the element 1, provided with jaws 5, engages with shoulders 10 in the panels, and is secured by means of bolt 3 which is threaded into the hole that passes part way through the centre of element 2. For disassembling an extractor 11 is provided (Fig. 8) which is screwed into a thread tapped part way through element 1 after bolt 3 is removed, the shank bearing against the base of the threaded hole in element 2 and prising the two elements apart.
