1486927 Cracking catalyst W R GRACE & CO 15 Nov 1974 49571/74 Heading B1E [Also in Division C5] A hydrocarbon cracking catalyst composition comprises (a) a type-Y zeolite containing rare earth and hydrogen cations, and (b) a cation-exchanged mordenite containing ions of hydrogen, rare earth, cobalt, nickel, or Group II metals. The weight ratio of component (a) to component (b) may be 20:1 to 1:1. The zeolites may be combined in an inorganic oxide matrix, e.g. silica, alumina, silica-alumina hydrogel and/or clay (e.g. kaolin), wherein the matrix provides 50-95% wt. of the composition.
