Abstract
1345363 Zeolite catalyst SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ NV 19 April 1971 [25 Feb 1970] 22394/71 Heading B1E [Also in Divisions Cl and C5] Catalysts -may be prepared by calcining a zeolite which has been loaded with at least one catalyst metal component from the Groups IB, IIB, VA, VIA, VIIA of the Mendeleef Table, particularly Pd and Pt, the zeolite having SiO 2 /Al 2 O 3 between 4 and 10 and containing tetraalkylammonium ions and at least two of Li<SP>+</SP>, Na<SP>+</SP> and K<SP>+</SP> and having been prepared by heating a mixture having the following compositions: a Na 2 O, b K 2 O, c Li 2 O, d R 2 O, Al 2 O 3 , e SiO 2 , f H 2 O where R= tetraalkylammonium a+b+c+d=3.0-4.5 e=9.5-13.0, f=100-500 and where b or c but not both b and c may be zero. Examples describe the hydrocracking of a hydrocarbon mixture and the isomerization of n-hexane using platinum-containing catalysts.
