Abstract

148,090. Kay, C. W. Dec. 10, 1919. Drawings to Specification. Hot-air plant.-Specification 133,462 describes an internal-combustion engine which drives an air-pump, some of the air from which is heated in the cylinder jacket while the remainder is used in the engine, the exhaust and heated air being mixed and the mixture expanded in other cylinders. According to this invention the air is not mixed with the exhaust, but is heated by it in a multitubular surface apparatus, the exhaust escaping and the hot air being used.
