Abstract

1480817 NTC resistors ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 26 Sept 1974 [27 Sept 1973] 41846/74 Heading H1K An NTC oxide ceramic resistor for use above 400 ‹ C. comprises Fe 2 O 3 , Al 2 O 3 and MnO such that the resistor contains 30-100% by weight of Fe 2 O 3 , and the MnO concentration is proportional to the Fe 2 O 3 concentration raised to the power 1À6, with the proportionality constant being between 0À3 to 12. Methods of preparing the resistor are described and include grinding the oxides, followed by calcining, grinding,. binding with alcohol, pressing and sintering Au, Ag or Pt contacts may be soldered or welded to the resistance body, or Pt wires may be sintered into the body.
