Abstract

1480499 Connecting partition panels together STEELCASE INC 27 Sept 1974 [28 Sept 1973] 42111/74 Heading E1W Partition panels 10 are interconnected by links 40 at the top and bottom, each link having two sets of holes therein, one set of holes 43 for fixing the panels in alignment, and the other set of holes 44, 48 and 49 for fixing them in an angular relationship. An upper link 40 is connected to a plate (26) near the upper edge of the panel via a bolt 72 and a stud 70, both entering threaded holes in the plate (26), and the lower link 40 is connected via a bolt 72 and a stud 70 to a bracket (50) incorporating an apertured portion 60. When the panels are to be aligned (Fig. 2) holes 43 in the links are employed, and a further bolt 72 and stud 70 fix the second panel in position top and bottom. In the angular arrangement, a bolt 70 passes through holes 44 in the link, and into threaded hole 28a in plate (26), whilst stud 70 passes through hole 49, and a bolt 72 passes through hole 48 at the top, whilst a further stud passes through hole 48 at the bottom.
