1479683 Purlins L D GOLEBY P V GAY and R BARBER 16 July 1974 [18 July 1973] 31508/74 Heading E1K A metal purlin is constructed from two sections as shown 10, 11 each of which is provided at least at its. ends with a line of elongated slots each having a length greater than the spacing between adjacent slots whereby purlins can be bolted to-gether with a variable overlap, the relative dimensions of the two sections being selected so that they rest one within the other. The purlin sections may be bolted to a cleat 22 welded to a joist 12.
