The invention comprises an improvement in or modification of the conveyer system of parent Specification 1,032,546, the improvement or modification comprising the formation of portions 7a of the groove 7 with a zero pitch angle and the remaining portions of the groove with a varied pitch angle other than zero, the remaining portions being staggered circumferentially along the length of the drum 6, so as to minimize the reaction between the conveyer elements 8 and the drum 6.
