The waste material may have a high water content and may arise in the purification of contaminated water from a nuclear reactor. The ion exchange resin may be of the anionic or cationic type, various specific resins being referred to. Filtration and flocculation materials specified are diatomaceous earth, cellulose, and perlite. A suitable polymerizable resin has a base of propylene glycol maleophthalate and is copolymerized with a monomer as in the parent Specification. Alternatively, one of the examples was an epoxy resin.
