Abstract
1418277 Processing radioactive waste COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE 9 May 1974 [17 May 1973] 20608/74 Addition to 1353121 Heading G6R In a modification of the process of the parent Specification, dry powdered radioactive waste is added to a mixture of a polymerizable resin and an organic liquid, and the resin is polymerized to form a solid block. The organic liquid may be radioactive waste and may comprise an aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon, a chlorinated organic solvent, an mineral oil, tributyl phosphate, or trilaurylamine. In examples the organic liquid is perchloroethylene or a mixture of tributyl phosphate and dodecane. A polyepoxide may be used as the resin in place of that described in the parent Specification.
