Abstract

1477141 Loud-speakers D A ILSLEY 31 May 1974 [12 March 1973] 11766/73 Heading H4J A loud-speaker enclosure is incorporated in a seat or table unit so that the loud-speaker(s) faces downwardly but spaced from the floor, the unit also being stable when turned so that the loud-speaker faces horizontally. The table unit shown incorporates a bass speaker 6 and tweeter 7 fed by a cross-over unit 8 from an amplifier (not shown). Feet 11 space the speakers from the floor and protrude laterally so as to co-operate with the top 2 of the table and support unit with the axis of the speakers horizontal when the unit is turned on its side. Alternatively the table top may be adapted to slide relative to the speaker unit to allow the latter to stand on end and may include means to lock the top in its normal position.
