Abstract

1476631 Agricultural implement A GENT 30 May 1974 [21 March 1973] 13471/73 Heading AIB An agricultural implement for working uneven ground comprises a main frame 1 to which a number of units 2 are connected each having adjustable tines attached. The units 2 move vertically or tilt in conjunction with the contours of the ground, and comprise interconnected hydraulic rams 25, and a post 7 supported on a cross-piece 8 and connected via a ball-joint 29 to an upper link 20 whose pivotal motion is restricted by a stop 40 which connects with a lever 24. Lower links 21 are pivotally connected to the cross-piece 8 and a beam 5 which is part of the main frame 1. As the rams 25 are interconnected the height of the main frame remains above a minimum value. In other embodiments the rams may be connectetd directly between post 6 and link 20 or coil springs may be used instead. In a further embodiment the rams are replaced by a cable passing alternately over pulleys on the main frame and the units.
