Abstract

1475014 Hydraulic control circuits EATON GmbH 16 Aug 1974 [18 Aug 1973] 36276/74 Heading F1P [Also in Division F2] In the circuit shown, Fig. 2, a valve 12, which diverts the output of a pump 3 from a reservoir 6 to an actuator 20 when the supply to the actuator through the valve from a pump 2 rises to a predetermined level, is characterized by having a passage 39 of smaller size than a throttle orifice 37 and a loose ball 41. When a valve 17 is moved to the position shown in Fig. 2, liquid passes from the pump 2 through lines 9, 19 and up through the valve 12 to the actuator 20. At small rates of flow the loose ball 41 is lifted from its support 45 and closes the throttle orifice 37 so that all the flow passes through the passage 39. Liquid from the pump 3 goes through the valve 12 from a port 11 to a port 13 and returns to the reservoir 6. If the flow from the pump 2 is increased a slide 29 is moved up against a spring 28, Fig. 3, (not shown), thus closing ports 11, 13 so that liquid from the pump 3 passes through a check-valve 8 and joins the flow from the pump 2. This causes a slide 36 to rise against a spring 35, depending on the flow, so that a valve 32 lifts off a seat and the flow passes through a chamber 31 and ports 38. Return flow is rapid because the free ball 41 drops on to the support 45 thus opening the orifice 37.
