1394594 Hydraulic control circuits EATON GmbH 19 Oct 1972 [27 Nov 1971] 48221/72 Heading F1P With valves 17, 21, as shown in Fig. 1, oil from a pump 2 flows through a connection 9 in a valve block 10 and back to a reservoir 6 through a by-pass valve and a line 16, whilst oil from a pump 3 passes through a shift valve 12 via ports 11, 13 and an annular channel 30 and back to the reservoir through a line 14. If the valve 17 is moved to permit a small flow of oil from the pump 2 to a ram 20 via a conduit 19, a slide 29 of valve 12 does not move against the force of a spring 28. An increased flow moves the slide 29 to the Fig. 2, position in which the flow between ports 11, 13 of oil from the pump 3 is blocked. A check valve 8 now opens and oil from the pump 3 passes through the valve 17 and conduit 19 to the valve 12. Depending on the pressure, the oil flows either through an orifice 37 of a throttle valve 36 and then through the conduit 19, or, the valve 36 is moved off its seat against a spring 35 and the oil passes mainly through an annular passage 31 and holes 38 to the conduit 19.
