Abstract
1387367 Hydraulic control circuits ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 18 June 1973 [5 July 1972] 28889/73 Heading F1P [Also in Division F2] In the circuit shown, Fig.1, when a selector switch 56 is in a neutral position, fluid from a pump 4 flows through ducts 3, 28, 29, 41, and 42 into a chamber 23 so that a spool 13 of a changeover valve 12 is moved to the left. This connects a passage 19 to the inlet 3 so that an auxiliary load 20 can be operated. To pressurize a main actuator 35, the selector 56 is moved to the right to energize an electromagnet 26 which controls a pilot valve 27. This connects the chamber 23 with a return duct 31 allowing the spool 13 to move to the right. When this occurs the passage between ducts 3, 19 is rapidly closed by a band 17'. Fluid now flows through a duct 22 to a non-return valve 32. As pressure builds up the valve opens so that fluid is supplied to the main actuator 35. Movement of the valve 32 to the left also closes the connection between ducts 41, 42 so that fluid flowing to the reservoir from the chamber 23 is throttled by a restriction 30. This damps movement of the spool 13. Further damping is provided when the end of the spool enters a recess 24 and fluid is forced out through a groove 25. To lower the load the selector 56 is moved to the left to energize a solenoid 48 which controls a pilot valve 49. This connects a duct 47 to the reservoir thereby creating a pressure drop across a lowering valve 44 as fluid flows through a restriction 46. This ultimately opens the valve to connect the actuator 35 to drain. This allows fluid to escape slowly from a cylinder 50 through an aperture 51. Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown), illustrate similar circuits in which the pilot valves 27, 49 are operated mechanically or by fluid-pressure.
