Abstract

1472089 Hinges JULIUS BLUM GmbH 15 July 1974 [13 July 1973] 31328/74 Heading E2F In a hinge having two hinged parts 1, 3 connected through two hinged brackets 9, 10, two hinge axes 7, 8; 5, 6 are arranged on each of the two hinged parts such that the four hinge axes and the hinged brackets form a link quadrilateral, at least one spring 13 being provided to abut against a tipping lever 15 pivoted to one hinged part 3 at 7, the spring producing a torque acting in the same direction as the closing movement of the hinge. The spring pressure is exerted against the tipping lever 15 articulated about the axis 7, the lever 15 being provided with two contact areas 16, 17 lying at an angle to each other, an upper contact area 16 producing a torque acting in the closing direction of the hinge and the lower contact area 17 abutting against the hinged bracket 10. The lever 15 is adapted to contact a stop bolt 12 mounted on an extension 11 of the bracket 10. As shown in Fig. 1, the lever 15 exerts a torque on the stop bolt 12 in the direction of the arrow A in the locked position of a door 2 to which the first hinge part 1 is attached. In the open position of the door 2 (Fig. 2) the stop bolt rests against the lower contact area 17 and the force acts rectilinearly upon the hinge axis 8 through the stop bolt 12.
