Abstract

1471722 Refrigerating THERMO KING CORP 27 Aug 1974 [7 Sept 1973] 37326/74 Heading F4H A transportable refrigeration unit for a vehicle container comprises a main frame 2 supporting an evaporator section 4, a condenser structure 6, and a compressor 34. The evaporator section 4 includes an evaporator coil 24, a fan 26 and ducting defining an air discharge duct 30 and an air intake 28, and is mounted on a single substantially planar upright panel 5 which is removably fastened to the rear of the frame 2 by bolts (60, Fig. 5). The frame 2 also supports a battery 12; a fuel tank 14 for supplying fuel to an I.C. engine 36; and an electrical control box 16. The engine 36 drives the compressor and the condenser and evaporator fans 33, 26 via a pulley and belt system. The frame 2 is also provided with fork-lift prong receptacles 18.
