146,768. Schneider, J. J. M. A. E. Aug. 2, 1919, [Convention date]. India-rubber springs; dash-pots.-The axle of an aeroplane landing carriage is sprung by rubber strips I. The rubber strips pass around collars as J, and sometimes are led over intermediate pulleys to increase the length. Alt ern a - tively or additively, a hydro-pneumatic shock absorber with cylinder L and piston rod M may be provided. The piston has holes covered by a spring-pressed disk with small holes. The return of the piston is effected by a spring or the rubber strips.
