522,760. Vehicle spring-suspensions. DAIMLERBENZ AKT.-GES. Dec. 15, 1938, No. 36586. Convention date, July 22. [Class 108 (ii)] In a vehicle suspension wherein the wheel is guided by upper and lower links 6, 7, the unguided helical spring 18 being arranged between the link 7 and an abutment 20 on the frame, the shock absorber 22 is mounted on the abutment 20 and actuated by linkage with ball or flexible joints connected to the wheel-carrier 8 or to one of the guide links. The upper guide link 6 is forked to embrace the abutment 20. The quadrangular linkage is mounted on a vertical pin 3 with a fork 16 abutting rubber cushions, and the longitudinal bearer 1 lies within the quadrangle. A cushion 21 limits upward movement of the wheel.
