1467669 Seat back adjusting mechanisms A & M COUSIN et CIE ETABS COUSIN FRERES 13 March 1974 [3 April 1973] 11128/74 Heading A4J [Also in Division E2] In a seat back adjustment mechanism comprising a back mounting plate 15 provided with a ring of teeth 17 engaged by a complementary ring of teeth 20 formed on a seat mounting plate 16, relative axial movement of the two rings to cause disengagement of their teeth is effected by rotation of a shaft 21 having an integral circular flange 22 provided with a cam surface 29 having circularly arranged inclined planes 30, 31 alternating in their direction of tilt and co-operating with a complementary shaped cam surface on the back plate. An identical mechanism, i.e. not a mirror image, may be provided on the other side of the seat.
