Abstract
1464697 Two-part couplings FELTEN & GUILLEAUME KABELWERKE AG 30 June 1975 [24 July 1974] 27454/75 Heading H2E A coupling device for coaxial cables comprises a tubular casing 1 acting as an outer conductor, an inner conductor 2 cast in a plastics insulating member 3 which is press-fitted in the casing, connection of the inner cable conductors to the inner coupling conductor being made by screws 5 mounted in the threaded hollow protrusions 4 of the insulating member. There may be recesses opposite holes for the entry of the screws into the inner coupling conductor enabling the attachment of thin cable conductors. Access to the screws is made by removing the screwable, rubber-sealed cover. Sealing of the coupling device at the metal-to-metal join 10 is enhanced by the rubber ring 9.
