Abstract

1464578 Structural joints STAHL-SCHANZ KG 15 May 1974 21610/74 Heading F2M [Also in Division E1] A door-frame comprises two jambs 3, (4) and a head-rail 2, each having a rib 5 which forms the rabbet 6 for the door and has a groove 7 for a sealing strip. The wall 9 defining the groove 7 extends further than the wall 8. The head-rail has a recess 15 which receives the rib 5 of the jamb 3, the projection 17 engaging behind the end 12 of the wall 9. Alternatively the jambs may have recesses which receive the rib of the head rail in the same way. A flanged retaining bar 29 within the head-rail is bolted to the ribs 5, a similar bar is provided at the bottom of the jambs. The head-rail is attached to the jambs by angle brackets 22 and bolts.
