Abstract

1463238 Interlacing yarns CHEMIEFASERKOMBINAT SCHWARZA "WILHELM PIECK" VEB 25 April 1975 [26 April 1974] 17237/75 Heading D1F In a gas jet apparatus for interlacing the filaments of a multifilamentary thread, the gaseous medium is blown, through an aperture or apertures provided in an air locking cover fastened to the nozzle body, directly into a thread-insertion gap to ensure that the running thread remains in position in its duct. As shown, a nozzle body 1 contains a main air supply duct 3 whence compressed air passes through distributor ducts 4 and 5 to ducts 6 and 6' thence into thread duct 7 into which thread 8 is inserted by means of gap 9 and wherein air streams subject thread 8 to a swirling action. Air emerging through bores 10 in a cover 2 blows into gap 9. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown) a wedge-shaped element (11) separates two thread ducts (7, 7') and air locking covers (2, 2') to provide insertion gaps for the two threads.
