В корпусе 1 расположено подающее сопло 2, имеющее канал 3 дл  подвода воздуха. Выходна  часть сопла 2 выполнена в виде клиновидной канавки (паза) 4 с основанием 5. В корпусе 6 расположено приемное сопло 7 с каналом 8 приема воздуха. Входна  часть сопла 7 выполнена в виде усеченного конуса 9, а выходна  часть 10 соединена с индикатором (на чертеже не показан). Датчик работает следующим образом. Сжатый воздух подводитс  к соплу 2 через канал 3. Контролируема  нить (на чертеже пе показана) располагаетс  в клиновидном пазу 4 вблизи основани  5. В результате взаимодействи  нити с потоком воздуха, выход щим из канала 3, между питью и стенками клиновидного паза 4 возникает давление ниже атмосферного (разрежение), которое удерживает пить в клиновидной канавке и преп тствует попаданию воздуха в приемное сопло 7.
