1463093 Incorporating fibres by compression moulding; fire resistant fibrous laminates R TATSUNO 31 July 1974 [30 Nov 1973 30 May 1974] 33837/74 Heading B5A [Also in Divisions C1 and D1] A fire-resistant cloth is made by compressing yarns of asbestos or silicate cotton and yarns of glass until the yarns of asbestos or silicate cotton enclose the yarns of glass. A woven fabric with large yarns 6 of asbestos and small yarns 7 of glass is compressed by platens 8 to produce the fabric of Fig. 1, alternatively the fabric may be compressed by rolls. The fabric may be a woven layer of glass yarns disposed between layers of asbestos or silicate cotton yarns impregnated or coated with a non-organic bonding agent.
