Abstract

1462094 Electrical connector SIEMENS AG 11 April 1974 [14 April 1973] 16319/74 Heading H2E A cable connector comprises a collet adapted to engage co-axially over a cylindrical stud, the collet being axially located and displaceable in a socket, relative movement of the socket and collet altering the internal cross-section of the collet, and a spring for biasing the collet inwardly of the socket which is adapted to receive a cable, the cable extending radially from the socket. In an embodiment the collet 19 has projections on the end of tongues for fitting into the groove 17 of the stud. The collet is released by drawing back the sleeve 25 against spring 22 using finger grip 29. The connector is used to join an earthing or current wire 28 to a medical appliance.
