Abstract

1461754 Conveying sheets INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORP 17 April 1975 [24 June 1974] 15771/75 Heading B8R Sheets 8 are conveyed, for example from a printing-machine to a collating-machine, along a path between upper and lower plates 12, 10, each plate having a plurality of apertures sloping forwardly and towards the sheet path and constituting air blast nozzles or in which such nozzles are fitted, the direction of flow of such nozzles 16, 18, 20, 22, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34 being at various angles with respect to a side guide 14 as illustrated, the arrangement being such that each sheet is moved in feed direction to the left and also laterally so as to abut the supports 14, and the sheet having a clockwise rotation so that its rear corner 9 abuts the support 14 first, and then a counter-clockwise rotation until the front corner abuts it.
