Abstract

1461426 Aluminium alloy galvanic anodes CHUO KOSAN CO Ltd 5 Nov 1974 [1 Feb 1974] 47893/74 Heading C7A A galvanic anode, is cast from an alloy which comprises:- the balance, apart from impurities, such as preferably no more than 0À3% in total Fe + Si, with the Fe content less than the Si content, and preferably no more than 0À01% Cu, being aluminium, and the casting is quenched (e.g. in weakly. alkaline water to cool the casting rapidly to below 150‹C). The alloy is preferably cast in a metal mould with a volume at least 1À5 times as large as that of the'casting.
