Abstract

146,080. Beconnier, P. June 21, 1919. [Convention date]. Valves.-In an engine having a cylinder and piston each of two diameters, the combustion products are withdrawn from the working space into an annular pump chamber which communicates with the atmosphere and with the working space by a passage 5 and a rotary cylindrical valve x. The valve also places the working cylinder in open communication with the atmosphere through the port 3 before the products of combustion are withdrawn by the pump. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) the rotary valve may be replaced by a flat slidevalve,.. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
